My research is related with the seals population ecology. Specifically, demography, life history and dive behavior strategies of southern elephant seals. Besides, I am working to develop a web-based system containing marine biogeographic information in open-access for Southwest Atlantic Ocean. The open access site will integrate datasets of specie distribution in the Patagonian Large Marine Ecosystem (PLME).

Responsibilities
|
Researcher in marine mammal (spatial ecology, biologging, biogeography). Experience in open access database, OBIS provider and advisor of students with interdisciplinary profile (bioinformatics, biology, oceanography). Two Antarctic campaigns and cruises of oceanographic research gave me knowledge for the assessment, analysis and development of projects of ocean sciences in Argentina. In addition, as National Focal Point of EU , I developed international relations with delegates of the European Union. Director of CENPAT- CONICET (2008-2014), head of 320 employees in multidisciplinary research institute. Experience in management of budget for laboratories built, offices and experimental aquarium. These aspects gave me capacities in public management with scientific purposes. Nowadays I am Director of Scientific and Technology program of Golfo San Jorge (CIT GSJ) to develop infrastructure and capacities in science to the coastal region.
